The 30-year-old man arrested for the murder of his 67-year-old father in Triadi, in the municipality of Thermi, in Thessaloniki, is brought before the prosecutor.

A case was filed against him by police officers of the Department of Prosecution and Detection of Crimes of Thermi for manslaughter and violations of the laws on domestic violence and drugs.

The 67-year-old man was found dead, yesterday afternoon, in the single-family home where he and his son resided, bearing fatal injuries. An investigation by authorities revealed that the injuries appear to have been inflicted by the 30-year-old, following an argument with the victim.

A knife and a screwdriver were seized from the scene, which were sent for laboratory testing, and two boxes of drug tablets were found without the required prescription.

A coroner visited the house, as well as a team from the Sub-Directorate of Criminal Investigations of Northern Greece, which collected evidence as part of the preliminary investigation.
