Telephone scam that took place a few days ago in Kilkis with more than 12.000 euros was solved after an investigation by the police officers of the Department of Crime Detection and Investigation of Kilkis.
A case has been filed against a local man and a foreign man, whose details have been identified.
Specifically, their accomplice called the victim’s landline phone, pretending to be a PPC employee and using various tricks, persuaded him to collect the jewellery he had in the house, place it in a bag and deposit it outside the house.
The investigation by police officers continues both for the identification of their accomplices and for their possible involvement in other similar criminal acts.
The case file formed against them will be submitted to the Prosecutor of Kilkis.
