Snowflakes fell, in the “heart” of spring, at Nymphaeon in Florina and at Seli. The rooftops of houses and courtyards in the traditional settlement of Nymphaeon were dressed in white again in the last few hours, with residents seeing the mercury plunge to -1 degree Celsius.
The temperature has dropped significantly in several areas of Northern Greece and it is typical that the mercury in Kaimaktsalan, at 9 in the morning, showed -4 degrees Celsius. It was at zero degrees in Laylia Serres and at the ski resort in Seli.
In Kleisoura, Kastoria, the temperature at dawn dropped to 1 degree Celsius, while in Florina and Polygyros, Halkidiki, the thermometer showed 4 degrees Celsius.
