The prosecutor’s office has brought a criminal charge of manslaughter with intent against the 30-year-old man arrested for the murder of his 67-year-old father in Triadi, in the municipality of Thermi, in Thessaloniki.
The 30-year-old is also being prosecuted for violations of the weapons and drugs laws. He was referred to an investigating judge for an apology and remains in custody until then.
The 67-year-old was found dead yesterday afternoon in the detached house where he lived with his son, suffering fatal injuries. An investigation by authorities revealed that the injuries were caused by the 30-year-old following an argument that preceded the incident.
A knife and a screwdriver were seized from the scene, while two boxes of drug tablets without the required prescription were also found.
A forensic examination is expected to be completed within the next 24 hours to be included in the case file.
