A 34-year-old man broke into his grandmother’s apartment on the second floor of a block of flats in Menemeni, Thessaloniki, after climbing into the building, removing the sum of 500 euros.
The incident, according to police, happened last 24 hours, between 8am and 5pm, during which time the elderly woman was absent from the house. The 34-year-old’s movements appear to have been noticed by residents, resulting in police being informed.
It was reported that the grandson was arrested and a case was filed against him for theft.
