A coordinated police operation took place yesterday from morning to midday in a settlement of Peraia, as part of the operational planning of the General Police Directorate of Thessaloniki for the prevention and combating of crime and the strengthening of the sense of security of citizens.

According to today’s announcement of the Police, the operation involved police officers of the Department of Crime Detection and Investigation of Crimes of Thermi, with the assistance of their colleagues from the Directorates of Direct Action, Traffic, Immigration and Police Operations of Thessaloniki, as well as a crew of DEDDIE.

During the checks, a total of 82 people and 62 vehicles were examined, while 20 violations of the Road Traffic Code were recorded. At the same time, the authorities proceeded to immobilize 12 vehicles.

In the framework of the same operation, five cases of electricity theft were also filed, following checks carried out with the assistance of a crew of the DEDDIE.

As noted by the EL.AΣ, similar operational actions will continue in other areas of the prefecture of Thessaloniki, with the aim of preventing delinquent behavior and strengthening police presence.
