Two executives of the “Violanda” factory were brought before the investigating magistrate and are being called to answer for direct complicity in an explosion with intent to cause manslaughter by negligence and causing bodily harm by intent.
It is reported that in late March, the production manager of the Violanda plant was indicted for complicity in the explosion by potential malice, but also for complicity in manslaughter by negligence and causing bodily harm by negligence.
He requested and was given a deadline of April 27 to plead to these offences and was released as he was not in custody. Still, he came of his own free will after being summoned by the investigating magistrate and prosecuted.
Following him is the director of the Violanda business, while earlier, according to ERT, the owner of Violanda, who was due to give a supplementary apology for manslaughter by negligence on a serial basis and for causing bodily harm on a serial basis, charges of misdemeanor criminal charges, left the Trikala courthouse.
The owner has returned to the Trikala jail to set a new date to give that plea, as he is not yet prepared.
The apologies of the two Violanda executives, the prosecutions and the summons came after employee testimony that these two specifically knew about the smell and did not do anything about it.
