The Air Force will celebrate its 95th anniversary as an independent branch of our country’s Armed Forces tomorrow, Sunday, May 10.
In this context, a large air show, open to the public, will be held at 18:00 on the beach of Flisvos, in front of the Statue of Constantine Palaiologos.
The Air Force is celebrating 95 years in a journey that began in distant 1931 and continues to this day.
As announced by the Air Force General Staff, the public will have the opportunity to see up close a flight program with modern and historic aircraft, in a demonstration that aims to highlight the overall timeless importance of the Air Force.
The display will feature flights from all types of Air Force aircraft linking the past – involving the historic Spitfire and the legendary Phantom fighters – with the present and future represented by, among others, the modern F-16 and Rafale fighter aircraft.
In addition, the air display teams “Zeus” and “Daedalus” as well as the Red Arrows will be present in the skies of Attica.
Note that admission for the public will be free.
