The exit of the Easter holidaymakers is underway and as a result there is a lot of traffic on the roads of the basin. According to an update from the Attica Traffic Police, vehicles are currently moving at very low speeds on Athens Avenue from Palataki to the Aspropyrgos refineries, as well as on Schistos Avenue to Skaramanga. At the same time, the traffic is particularly high in the upstream of Kifissos.
Regarding the exits of Attica, on the Athinon-Korinthos exit, there is a bottleneck just before the Elefsina toll road to Nea Peramos, as well as at the height of Megara. The picture is better on the Athens-Lamia where traffic is running normally apart from some minor delays at the Aphidnon toll.
Due to the increased traffic of holidaymakers, both the personnel and the means of the Hellenic Police, especially the Traffic Police, are in increased operational readiness, while increased measures have been taken throughout the country’s road network in order to ensure the safe movement of citizens and the prevention of traffic accidents.
