The clock is now ticking for the announcement of the provisional results of the Social Tourism 2026-2027 programme, as they are expected to be published in the next few hours.

Although there were initially reports that the results would be announced yesterday, this was not possible. Applicants are expected to be notified today via the DYPA’s online platform whether they have been selected to receive a holiday voucher.

The provisional Register of Beneficiaries and Recipients will include:

  • The application code numbers,
  • the last four digits of the VAT and AMKA,
  • the scoring per criterion,
  • the overall score,
  • as well as the order in which applicants are ranked.

In addition, the initials and last letters of the names of the beneficiary members will be indicated, along with the last four digits of their Social Security number and an indication of whether or not a social tourism cheque is issued. Those who do not show this indication are not selected for accommodation and ferry travel subsidies.

What the scheme provides

The Social Tourism 2026-2027 programme starts on 18 May 2026 and will run for a total of 13 months.

A total of 300,000 social tourism cheques will be granted, with a budget of up to €50 million. Each voucher corresponds to a unique number for each beneficiary and beneficiary member individually and is used for subsidised accommodation in tourist accommodation participating in the DYPA programme.

Beneficiaries may stay up to six nights with a small private contribution. However, increased benefits are provided in certain areas:

  • In Leros, Lesvos, Chios, Kos, Samos and Rhodes, up to 10 free nights with no private contribution are provided.
  • In North Evia, Evros and Thessaly (except Sporades), up to 12 free nights are provided.

An increased subsidy applies for these regions throughout the duration of the programme.

In addition, the subsidy rates are increased by 20%:

  • in August,
  • during the Christmas period (15 December 2026 to 14 January 2027),
  • and during the Easter period (23 April to 9 May 2027)
  • .

The scheme also covers ferry tickets, with beneficiaries contributing 25% of the cost, while free ferry transport is provided for people with disabilities.
