A tragic fate befell a school principal from Kolonos, who this Tuesday morning climbed to the roof of her apartment building and from there jumped into the void.
It all happened around 8am when the woman, who had taken over as headmistress at a school near her home in Kolonos, decided to end her life. Shocked, her husband alerted the authorities, who said his wife was under a lot of pressure at work.
The manager was the mother of two children, and people who knew her speak of a hard-working and sensitive person.
Her death was almost instantaneous, and pupils, parents and staff at the school where the woman worked are also devastated.
In fact, the woman had reportedly told her husband that she was under pressure from some teachers and parents. The matter would even potentially go as far as the prosecutor.
Police are now investigating the circumstances of the fall from the roof.
