Serious consternation has been caused in Rhodes by a new crime that occurred shortly after 8pm when a 60-year-old man was found dead after being attacked with a knife in the village of Kalithies. Police forces and an ambulance crew immediately rushed to the scene and pronounced him dead.
Initial evidence from the police investigation indicates that the victim and the perpetrator had a close acquaintance and were living together. However, the relationship between them was reportedly strained, with frequent friction, and both were experiencing psychological difficulties that were aggravating their cohabitation.
