A stir has been caused by the case of the granddaughter of a well-known politician, who was arrested today at dawn on Good Friday 10.04.2026, in the centre of Athens for a drug-related case, after a police check in the Syntagma area.
The politician’s granddaughter will continue to be detained until she is charged with possession of drugs.
The young woman, who became known to the public through her participation in a fashion reality show, was found to be in possession of a quantity of drugs, according to authorities, and was taken to the police station with her partner after the arrest.
It all happened when police officers stopped the vehicle the couple was riding in on Vasilissis Sofias Avenue for a check. During the search, authorities found 11 grams of cannabis in the 26-year-old’s possession.
At the same time, 0.89 grams of cannabis, a folding dagger with an 8.5 cm blade and a 32 mm caliber unloaded cartridge were found on her 29-year-old partner.
A case was filed against them and they are to be brought to court on Good Saturday, April 11, where the case will be decided by the justice system.
