In a sharp post, Nikos Plakias commented, without naming her, on Maria Karastianou and the lawsuit she filed with Thanasis Avgerinos against Nikos Karachalios.

More specifically, Nikos Plakias “photographed” the case of Maria Karastianou, leaving spikes for those who, as he wrote, declare that they do not trust Justice, the Police or the institutions, but resort to them when they deem it necessary. “The unlikely thing here in the country we live in is that all those who do not believe in the judiciary or the police or institutions in general resort to the police and the judiciary first. Unbelievable!!!,” he said in his post.

Plakias’ intervention came after Maria Karastianou and Thanasis Avgerinos filed a lawsuit against Nikos Karachalios, accusing him of slander after he reportedly said he had “founded a party at the behest of Moscow”. The complaint was filed yesterday morning, Tuesday (19.05.2026), at the Syntagma police station, with people close to Maria Karastianou describing Nikos Karachalios as “known for his slanderous obsession” and claiming that he “seems to be on duty”.
