The first female volunteers to join the Armed Forces were the focus of discussion on the morning show “Kalimera Ellada” on Friday, with recent footage from the training center in Lamia.
During the show, the presenters commented on this new reality both informatively and humorously.
Panagiotis Stathis first explained the framework of the initiative, noting that it is a voluntary participation of women in the army, which is accompanied by a specific grade established by the Ministry of National Defence.
Following the relevant footage, Stefanos Siskos admitted that these images still seem unusual to him, noting that he is finding it hard to get used to them, as they are something new for Greek camps.
His statement prompted humorous comments from Panagiotis Stathis, who mockingly commented that the camps are not mixed.
The atmosphere remained relaxed, with Stefanos Sisko laughingly responding that he had no intention of returning to military service. Panagiotis Stathis continued in the same vein, humorously addressing a similar remark to the viewers, thus closing the discussion on the issue.
