The price of US oil touched $100 a barrel again today, due to doubts about the fate of the truce between Iran and the US and the continued paralysis of maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.

After registering a big drop, closing at $94.41 yesterday (Wednesday), US crude (WTI) for May delivery recovered 5.83% to $99.91 around 3pm:05 (local time) today, having briefly crossed the $100 mark.

Brent North Sea crude oil for June delivery recorded a 3.67% rise to $98.23.
