The platform for “Neighbourhood Nannies” premieres today, Monday 27/4, and not only professional curators but also family members, such as grandparents, can register in the system.

Applications can be made at ntantades.gov.gr and the scheme provides for aid from €300 to €500 a month for childcare, based on the individual income of the mother, who can be employed, self-employed or even unemployed.

For one child the limit is set at €24,000, for two children at €27,000, while income criteria for mothers with three or more children have been abolished.

The scheme applies to infants and toddlers aged 2 months to 2 years and 6 months.

It should be noted that for the first time, social care is also provided for female students and student mothers.

How to register

The new EIS clearly defines the conditions for the registration of curators and curators in the relevant Register, which will operate electronically through the information system of the action on the website ntantades.gov.gr and will be accessible through gov.gr.

The application procedure will be open and continuous throughout the implementation of the programme.

However, there are specific requirements for participation in the Registry in terms of training, health status, knowledge of first aid and criminal background checks, so that care services to infants and toddlers are provided in terms of safety, reliability and full protection.

For those who do not have a relevant qualification, the possibility of completing a free certified training programme through the howto.gov.gr platform is provided.

Those interested will be registered in the special register and will be able to provide childcare services for up to three children at the same time, if selected by the families through the digital platform of the action.
