By decisions of the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasis, energy upgrade actions for public buildings, with a total public expenditure of 5.785,009.44 euros.

Specifically, with the decisions, which are part of similar actions for the energy upgrade of public buildings across the country, the following actions are launched:

-Energy upgrade and renovation of the emblematic preserved Megaro Wix of the municipality of Kavala, with a total surface area of 1,268 m². In the framework of the intervention, among other things, thermal insulation works, modernisation of electromechanical heating, cooling and artificial lighting installations with advanced systems, as well as installation of energy management systems are foreseen. It will also include works on the layout of the building to meet modern standards and serve sustainable mobility and accessibility for people with disabilities, as well as the maintenance of decorative elements and landscaping. The intervention upgrades the building from class H to class B energy efficiency. The total public expenditure amounts to €2,685,348.64.

-Energy upgrading interventions in the listed building complex of Logos Tourpalis, the former cage, which is considered the first industry of Naoussa and in Macedonia. The action concerns the replacement of the windows and the energy upgrade of the tile roof, without modifying the form of the building, the HVAC installations (installation of VRF Inverter systems, ventilation system with heat recovery, replacement of existing lighting fixtures, installation of a consumption recording and monitoring system and the installation of a BMS system). With the intervention the building is upgraded from energy category H to category B+. The public expenditure amounts to EUR 2,099,660.80.

-Energy upgrade of the building of cultural activities of the municipality of Kalamaria. In the framework of the intervention, among other things, it is foreseen to add insulation, replace frames and glazing with new certified, high energy efficiency, energy upgrade of HVAC installations, upgrade of natural/artificial lighting systems and installation of energy management systems. With the intervention, the building is upgraded from energy category D to category B+. The public expenditure amounts to one million euros.
