Tension was caused today at the port of Mytilene, when, during the arrival of the ship of the Piraeus-Chios-Mytilene line “Blue Star Patmos”, at 12 noon, livestock farmers who have occupied the land zone of the port, did not allow the disembarkation of lorries with goods, some of them perishable, while only passengers, cars and cars with materials for the army and pharmaceutical products were allowed to disembark.
42 trucks and a bus remain trapped inside the ship, which is scheduled to depart at 6 p.m. for Chios and Piraeus. It remains unknown whether the afternoon sailing will take place, as the port’s land zone remains occupied ahead of a major rally scheduled for tomorrow.
