The autopsy and toxicology tests are expected to provide answers about the circumstances of the death of a 19-year-old girl in the morning of Tuesday, April 14, in the central square of Argostoli in Kefalonia.
It was 04:40 in the morning when the island’s ambulance station was informed that a young girl was lying down and unconscious opposite a health shop (a grill shop in the area).
Rescues arrived quickly and transported her to Kefalonia Hospital, with doctors battling to bring her back to life without success. The Hellenic Police was immediately informed, with high-ranking officers arriving at the hospital to begin the preliminary investigation.
The first information wants the 19-year-old, shortly before she was found unconscious, to be in the central square of Argostoli with two young, known drug addicts. More will become clear after the first statements that have begun to receive the EL.AS.
The 19-year-old girl had no obvious injuries that indicate the use of violence against her, but light will be shed on the case by the autopsy and toxicology tests that will be done after the prosecutor’s order.
