Maria Iliaki caused embarrassment this Thursday morning (7/5) on “Early Early” during a report on the death of Ted Turner.
During her conversation with Crateros Katsoulis, Maria Iliaki admitted that she believed the American media mogul had passed away years ago.
“Now it will seem strange for me to say this, I thought he was dead. I thought he wasn’t alive,” the ERT presenter initially commented, with the show’s reporter reacting awkwardly by saying: “Um… yeah… okay!”
Maria Iliaki went on to say: “Isn’t that Jane Fonda’s ex-husband? She buried him too!”, with Crateros Katsoulis commenting: “Maybe because he hasn’t been around for a very, very long time.”
“No, no. I was under the impression that he had died earlier. That was the impression I had. The man was alive,” the presenter replied, before the show’s reporter clarified that “he passed away at the age of 87.”
