A case of fraud committed about a year ago against a 79-year-old woman in the city of Kozani was solved by police officers of the Kozani Crime Investigation and Detection Department. Specifically, the details of a 47-year-old man who played the role of a debt collector were identified, while a case was filed against three accomplices for the crime of fraud.
Specifically, the 79-year-old woman reported that she received a call on her home landline phone from an unknown man, who, threatening her life and that of a relative, demanded that she pay the sum of 80.000 euros. At the same time, an unknown woman contacted her and after pretending to be a police officer, persuaded her to place 26 pounds and the sums of money of 5,750 dollars and 2,150 euros in a bag and leave it in a predetermined place near her house. The bag, as established by the preliminary investigation, was received by the 47-year-old.
The case file will be submitted to the Prosecutor of Kozani Municipal Court.
