Turns, new facts and strong messages from the citizens of East Attica are recorded in a new poll conducted by Interview on behalf of Vergina 1 Attica.

According to the findings of the survey, which were presented on the programme “Commenting on Current Affairs” with journalist Stergios Kalogiros, if national elections were held next Sunday, New Democracy would be the first party with 38%.

The battle for second place is of particular interest, as Alexis Tsipras’ ELAS was recorded at 14.3%, leaving PASOK in third place with 8.5%, a development that – according to the findings – would lead to a loss of seats in the region of Eastern Attica.

The question of the possibility of early elections is also of particular interest. Citizens appear divided, with 50% in favour of holding early elections, while 48% prefer the end of the government’s term of office.

Finally, the survey also tracks voters’ priorities in terms of political choice and candidate evaluation. 48% say that a key criterion for choosing a party is having a credible proposal for the country’s problems, while 72% evaluate parliamentary candidates based on whether they deal with the country’s issues in a meaningful way.
