US President Donald Trump claimed during an interview yesterday Friday with the NBC News television network that Iran has “21 to 22 percent” of its missiles remaining before the war began with the US-Israel attack on February 28th.

“They have some missiles, they have some drones. I would say percentages maybe 21-22% of their missiles. It’s a lot of missiles, but not as many as they had before we started our attack,” the Republican said, according to an excerpt of the interview broadcast by the network — the full interview will air tomorrow, Sunday.

The US president himself asserted in early May, however, that Tehran had only “18 to 19%” of the Iranian armed forces’ missile stockpile left.

“Most of the drone factories have been destroyed, most of the launch pads have been destroyed and most of the missile manufacturing facilities have been destroyed,” the tycoon insisted yesterday.

Tehran said yesterday it had “warningly” fired missiles at two US ships in the Sea of Oman, following sporadic hostilities in the Gulf earlier this week. Washington has denied it.
