The draft law of the Ministry of National Economy and Finance on the “Ratification of the Law of 24.2.2026 Concession Contract of the exclusive right of production, management, operation, promotion and general exploitation of the state lotteries between the Greek State and “Hellenic Lotteries – Production, Operation, Circulation, Promotion and Management of Lotteries Single Person Limited Company”.
The bill is introduced by the Economic Affairs Committee with the positive vote of the New Democracy Committee. On the contrary, SYRIZA and KKE voted against it, while the other parties PASOK-KINAL, New Left, Hellenic Solution, Niki and Eleftherias reserved their positions in the plenary session today.
Yesterday, PASOK-KINAL tabled a parliamentary amendment signed by seven of its MPs, calling for the amendment of the third article of the bill and the establishment of an obligation for the Ministry of National Economy and Finance to prepare and submit a report on the allocation of the amounts allocated for the implementation of social policies from the proceeds of the state lottery for the sake of transparency and accountability.
The debate on the bill is scheduled to begin at ten o’clock in the morning.
