A father and son were arrested last night in the area of Sindos, Thessaloniki, for violating disease prevention measures.
According to the police, the 20-year-old son was found driving a private van owned by his 52-year-old father, transporting 26 animals, lambs and sheep, belonging to the latter.

During the inspection it was found that the animals were not wearing ear tags (individual identification marks) and there was no health certificate for their transport, as required by the relevant legislation.
The two men were arrested and a case was filed against them.
