The facilities of the company G. SAMARAS S.A. in the Industrial Area of Thermi, which has a share of more than 87% of the Greek market of medical gas systems, while 90% of its production is exported, were visited today by the Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis.
As noted in a company statement, the Minister was received by the company’s CEO, Menelaos Samaras, who gave him a tour of the factory and informed him about the company’s activity and development in the field of medical gas systems.
During the visit, the key figures of the company were presented, which, according to the announcement, has been operating since 1968 and is one of the largest Greek industries in its sector.
Based on the data presented to the minister, the company’s products are exported to more than 85 countries worldwide, from Latin America to Asia and from Northern Europe to Africa, while every year more than 500 hospitals worldwide are equipped with its systems.
At the briefing, it was also stressed that the company has a presence in markets with high technological requirements, such as the United Kingdom, Italy, Finland, Portugal, Hungary and Poland, a fact that, as noted in the announcement, confirms the competitiveness and quality of Greek products in this sector.
Mr Georgiades toured the company’s production facilities, which are developed in areas with a total surface area of about 4,000 square meters in VI.PE. He was also informed about the company’s new factory in the same area, with a surface area of 3,900 square metres. At the same time, he had the opportunity to talk to employees of the company, which currently employs 101 people.
