For the first time, George Lianos spoke about Stavros Floros’ serious accident off the field on Survivor through his radio show on Sfera FM.

The host spoke about the moments he lived next to the 22-year-old player, stressing that the messages about his health are optimistic.

“I’m fine. Okay, the days have passed, got this whole situation on the right track. I can’t say much about Stavros’ medical issue, all I can say is that the messages are optimistic. I don’t generally like to do that, to talk about how I feel when a person has been through something so difficult. I’ll just dwell on the fact that, because there was psychological support, a man came from Athens anyway, who talked to all the players, he came to talk to me, but in describing what I experienced next to Stavros, I said, ‘you know doctor, I think I did my healing next to Stavros,'” he said initially.

And added: “I mean, the optimism that this man gave me with his smile, you know, trying to get him to forget, too, to talk about anything other than what happened, was something that really helped me. All of a sudden, Stavros and I found ourselves joking around, talking about anything, saying things. Since this man sees the window of optimism, he took me by the hand and we looked through that window together.”

Then the Survivor host said: “I don’t care what the reporters said. And I watched a lot of things, I mean, and the first information that had come out was … nine times out of ten it was wrong. From there, I’m not going to get into that, I’m not a judge, I don’t want to contradict or confirm anybody. What comes first and foremost is Stavros’ health, and that’s why there was a fight here and in the hospitals, and that fight continues. And it’s a long struggle, you know. Because our lives are like Instagram stories. When you see one story, then you move on to the next one, quickly. I’m interested in the story that my mind is stuck on, that it has a happy ending.

I wasn’t the only one next to him, there were a lot of people. And you know, I don’t even want to take credit for this thing… That conversation you said, though, I’ve had that conversation with Stavros. You know you could be my son. Nobody should be in that position. The first information, I repeat, that had come out was completely wrong and has been refuted. I didn’t see anyone sweating his ear off, but I don’t want to lay blame either. These have gone the way of justice. And from there, that’s where they are judged. There was a lot of misinformation about whether there was a buoy…”
