The second 17-year-old schoolgirl, who was hospitalized in the ICU of KAT, lost her battle for life last night after falling from the sixth floor of an apartment building in Ilioupoli.
The news was made public by the KAT hospital in a press release, which noted:
“Today 14/05/2026 at 19:54, the 17-year-old schoolgirl who was hospitalized in the ICU of our hospital since 12/05/2026 died. KAT Hospital expresses its sincere condolences to her family members.”
The 17-year-old girl who fell from a rooftop in Ilioupoli, along with her friend who died on Tuesday, was hospitalized in extremely critical condition. More than 20 doctors of different specialties struggled to stabilize her, as she suffered severe head injuries, contusions to her liver and lung, as well as a severe fracture to her pelvis.
The parents of the first 17-year-old girl to pass away are asking that in lieu of a wreath, donations in her memory be made to “Smile of the Child”, supporting children in need of care, protection and hope.
