New felony charges against GSEE head Yannis Panagopoulos and former General Secretary of Labor Anna Stratinakis, as new evidence of misappropriation of funds in the period 2020 to 2025 is transmitted to prosecutors.

More specifically, the Black Money Laundering Authority, in an additional audit of Yiannis Panagopoulos, concluded that the head of the GSEE did not declare how much, totalling 3.2 million euros, despite the fact that he was required to submit his tax returns as chairman of the three vocational training and education centres and institutes for which he is under investigation for embezzlement.

The above amount is reportedly for the period 2020-2025 and it is possible that it could make Mr. Panagopoulos again suspected, this time of making an inaccurate criminal tax return.

At the same time, the Independent Authority appears to have completed its audit of former Labour Secretary General and Deputy Director General of the independent market control authority Anna Stratinakis, with the findings also being forwarded to the prosecution authorities.

According to reports, Anna Stratinakis allegedly submitted inaccurate tax returns for an amount totaling $1.3 million. While incomplete seems to be incomplete and the tax returns for the period 2023-2024 of her husband, Andreas Georgiou, as for his case does not appear -according to sources- a total amount of more than 700,000 euros.

The couple is also expected to be investigated on the criminal aspect for felony inaccurate declaration of assets, while the process for the attribution of these amounts by the auditing court for all three persons is expected to begin.
