Efi Papatheodorou, the well-known actress of the TV series “Para 5”, spoke positively about Alexis Tsipras, a few hours after she took part in a video for ELAS (Hellenic Leftist Co-party). The actress, known to most people as “Theopoula”, said she accepted the proposal of the Alexis Tsipras Institute, even stating that she appreciates the former Prime Minister and wants to support him.

Efi Papatheodorou spoke about both Alexis Tsipras and ELAS (Hellenic Leftist Coalition), explaining that the contact came after a phone call from colleagues of the Institute. She said she took part without a second thought, and did not hide her emotion at the choice of the name of the new party of former President of SYRIZA, as she said her father had participated as a doctor in the historic ELAS.

Talking today (Thursday, 04.06.2026) on MEGA’s Live News programme, “Theopoula” described her meeting with Alexis Tsipras as a simple and human process. “I have known Alexis for years. I appreciate him because he is an honest guy. He didn’t do any scandals, he didn’t eat,” she said.
