Traffic on the Athens-Corinthos highway was normalized, where from morning until late afternoon traffic was particularly heavy as the last big “wave” of Easter excursionists left Attica for the region.
In particular, shortly after 11am, long queues of cars began to form at the Elefsina toll road, while drivers then moved at low speeds up to Ag. Theodoroi. At the same time delays were also noted on Attiki Odos from the Aspropyrgos junction to the Magoula junction.
The picture was much better on the Athens-Lamia highway where vehicles were moving with a steady flow while there were occasional minor delays at the Afidnon toll road.
According to traffic police data, 50,792 vehicles left Attica from 6am to 12 noon. Specifically, 26,550 from the Athens-Corinthos and 24,242 from the Athens-Lamia.
