A strong earthquake of magnitude 4.6 on the Richter scale occurred on Sunday morning 19/4, at 10:04, in Lasithi.

The epicentre of the earthquake according to the Geodynamic Institute of Athens is estimated at 21 kilometres south, southwest of Goudouras, Lassithi.

The focal depth of the earthquake, which was particularly felt in Crete, is estimated at 6.2 kilometres.
