A 30-year-old driver was arrested in the early hours of the morning in Thessaloniki when he was spotted driving at 209 km/h on the Peripheral Road, at the height of Evosmos, where the maximum speed limit is 80 km/h.
According to the Greek Police and the Thessaloniki Traffic Police Directorate, two-wheeled police officers in the context of checks spotted him and proceeded to arrest him.
A case has been filed against him for dangerous driving and he is expected to be taken to the competent judicial authority.
