The Minister of Social Cohesion and Family, Domna Michailidou, spoke of 40 new opportunities involving an equal number of renovated apartments for vulnerable families, single-person households and single-parent families. during her welcome speech at the project completion event: “SUB3B. Social housing for the most vulnerable groups”, in Thessaloniki.

Initially there were 30 apartments, but thanks to the efficiency of the municipality of Thessaloniki, Ms. Michailidou’s efficiency, “they went up to 40 so that 40 of our fellow citizens who are socially vulnerable and face housing problems can be in a home with joy for their family, with responsibility on the part of the state, with dignity for their own lives.”

According to the Minister of Social Cohesion and Family, 40 apartments were renovated in a program that is one of 43 different housing programs or policies that come to alleviate the housing problem that exists today.

“The program is increasing the housing stock and underutilized public properties are coming in and housing vulnerable households, green renovations are being done and the partnership between the municipality and the state is being highlighted,” said Michailidou
