With African dust and high winds, Easter revellers will return in the coming days. In more detail, meteorologist George Tsatrafyllias after wishing for the Lord’s Resurrection, published the weather forecast, even warning that the temperature will rise considerably before the chill sets in again.

As he explains in his post, a new episode of African dust is already underway and will last until the middle of next week. The weather will be relatively clear during the remaining days of Easter while temperatures will “climb” up to 25 degrees Celsius in the west.

From Tuesday to Thursday, however, muddy showers are expected in several areas while on Thursday, northerly winds are expected to “come into play” bringing chilly and unstable conditions.

“With dust, southerly winds and muddy skies the return! Happy birthday, Christ is risen! A new episode of African dust transport is already underway which will last until mid-week. In addition, temperatures will be on the rise with thermometers reaching as high as 25 degrees in the west.

From Tuesday through Thursday, scattered mudflows will also occur in most areas. South winds will reach 7-8 Beaufort in the Ionian Sea with gusts to 9 mainly on Monday. From Thursday onwards, traffic will change. Incoming northerly winds bring more chill and limited instability. Dust will also subside. Be careful on the road.”

The weather today

General clear weather with some clouds in the eastern and northern mainland, the Sporades, Euboea and Crete, where there will be some local rain or rain, mainly in the afternoon and evening hours.
Visibility in the Ionian and the mainland will be locally limited in the morning hours.
