Four people, three of whom are minors, were arrested for the offences of breach of authority, damage to foreign property and weapons offences, in Chania. Also arrested were five guardians accused of neglect of supervision of a minor.
The arrests were made yesterday 30/4 by police officers of the Sub-Directorate for the Prosecution and Detection of Crimes Chania when they identified these individuals that they had removed a two-wheel moped which had been taken by the Traffic Police in a parking lot of a private roadside assistance company.
Specifically, the evening hours of 22.04. in the context of traffic controls of the Department of Traffic Police Chania, immobilized the two-wheeled moped which was transferred for safekeeping in this area which was removed by unknown persons. From the preliminary investigation of the Sub-Directorate of Investigation and Detection of Crimes Chania identified the four residents, conducted investigations in their homes where the removed two-wheeled moped found as well as a sword, 6 cartridges, iron fist and 7 folding knives.”
The guardians of the minors were arrested, while the preliminary investigation is being carried out by the Sub-Directorate of Investigation and Detection of Crimes Chania.
