A foreign national was pulled from the water unconscious in the Falasarna area of Chania.
Around noon today, Saturday, June 13, 2026, the Fire Department Operations Center was notified to transport a foreign national who was unconscious from a rocky, inaccessible location in the area of the Falasarna archaeological site in Chania, Crete.
Sixteen firefighters from the Chania Fire Department, the Kastelli Fire Department, and the 19th Mountain Rescue Unit, who reached the site and, using a stretcher, transported the foreign national to a safe location, where he was picked up by an EKAV ambulance.
The operation was completed in the afternoon hours today, Saturday, June 13, 2026.
