The importance of innovation, creativity and the active participation of the young generation in the development of entrepreneurship was underlined by the President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Yannis Bratakos, in his address at the B/innovate initiative event, organized by the Athens University of Economics and Business, the Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and the newspaper “To Vima”.
As Mr. Bratakos, “innovation is the courage to say ‘I have an idea’ and the decision to look for how it will create value.”
In my address at the event of the B/innovate initiative, a joint effort of the newspaper ‘To Vima’, the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and the Athens Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ACE), I stressed that the progress of our society is based on our ability to trust the creativity and courage of the new generation. This program symbolizes something we need more than ever, to give young people the space to experiment, challenge the status quo and turn their fresh ideas into solutions with real impact.
In a challenging era, youth participation and innovative entrepreneurship are the greatest source of optimism for the future. When we provide the right environment and the right tools, the younger generation proves that they have the impressive drive and the boldness to forge new, creative paths.”
