The condition of the 12-year-old boy who was seriously injured in a scooter accident in Aspropyrgos remains critical and was transferred from the Thriasio Hospital to the Aglaia Kyriakou Children’s Hospital.
According to initial information, the child was riding a scooter when he allegedly violated a STOP sign and collided with a passing car. Although he was wearing a helmet, it was removed due to the severity of the collision.
The 12-year-old was initially transported to Thriasio Hospital, where doctors performed immediate stabilization and extensive diagnostic tests. It was then deemed necessary to transfer him, intubated and under medical escort, to the Aglaia Kyriakou Children’s Hospital.
Doctors found severe head injuries, multiple chest fractures, bilateral pneumothorax, and a fracture of the left lower limb. The overall clinical picture is described as particularly severe.
Due to the severity of the injuries, it was decided to undergo surgery, while the attending physicians are closely monitoring his health.
