Orthoula Papadakou spoke to the cameras of the entertainment shows about her relationship with time, the serious health adventure she has faced in recent years, and her battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
The former athlete revealed that she is not concerned about age, despite turning 56. As she said, she still feels full of energy and vitality, as if she is much younger.
She also mentioned her recent knee replacement surgery, explaining that for the past five years she had been experiencing severe pain. In fact, she noted that she had undergone a total of seven surgeries in the past due to her athletic career, expressing optimism that she would soon make a full recovery.
She also paid special attention to her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis in 2011, admitting that the first few years were extremely difficult and challenging. She said she followed a strong medication regimen, however for the last 7-8 years she has been off treatment and her condition has stabilized significantly.
Orthoula Papadakou also revealed that the illness came at a particularly difficult time for her family, as it coincided with a serious health problem for her mother.
