Police officers arrested two men for possession and trafficking of cannabis on the morning of April 15.
Specifically, as announced by the National Police, the arrest of the two men came about after intelligence gathering and a police investigation, during which they were found to be involved in drug trafficking.
The two accused were spotted at a toll station on Olympia Odos, where, following an operation by the Sub-Division of Narcotics, they were found carrying 10.500 grams of raw cannabis, divided into 10 packages, for the purpose of further trafficking.
The quantity of cannabis, the vehicle as a means of transport, 240 euros and 2 mobile phones were seized.
The arrested persons were taken to the competent prosecuting authority.
