Police authorities arrested a 16-year-old girl in Aegina, following an incident of threatening her classmates with a sharp object.
According to the National Police, the minor was arrested in the early hours of Thursday (4/24/2026) and a case was filed against her for violation of the legislation on weapons. At the same time, her mother was also arrested, accused of neglect of supervision of a minor.
The incident occurred at noon on Wednesday (23/4/2026), after the end of the school program, when the 16-year-old girl, while at a bus stop with her classmates, allegedly threatened them with a pocket knife she had in her possession.
The school principal was immediately informed of the incident, to whom the minor handed over the sharp object. She was then taken to the Aegina Police Station, where her arrest followed.
The 16-year-old girl was taken to the relevant prosecutor, while the preliminary investigation into the case is ongoing.
