From tomorrow, Wednesday 20 May 2026 at 14:00, the Public Employment Service platform will open for the submission of online applications for beneficiaries and providers in the 2026 child camp programme.

The process will conclude on Tuesday, May 26 at 11:59 p.m. and will award 70,000 checks for children ages 6 to 16. The programme will run from 15 June to 10 September for typically developing children, and will run until 20 September for children with more than 50% disability. The total budget of the programme amounts to €37 million.

The maximum duration of hospitality is set at 15 consecutive days, including arrival and departure days. Especially for camps in fire-affected areas of North Evia and Thessaly, the stay can be extended up to 30 days.

Applications will be submitted exclusively through the gov.gr platform using TAXISnet codes.

At the same time, specific income criteria apply depending on family status and number of children.

The selection of beneficiaries will be made through a weighting process, taking into account social and economic criteria such as disability, single-parent family, number of children, income and previous participation in the programme. For the first time this year, large families are exempt from the weighting process if they meet the basic requirements.

Children’s camp providers can also submit or update their applications through the DHS’s dedicated platform on gov.gr for camp providers.
