The investigator of the Piraeus Maritime Court ordered the remand of the 20-year-old, who confessed to the murder of a 27-year-old in Agios Dimitrios.
The accused for intentional homicide is taken to the Corinthian prison, where he will remain in temporary custody until the completion of the investigative process, with a maximum of 18 months.
According to reports, during the preliminary investigation it is estimated that the blow inflicted on the victim was highly technical and severe. However, he reportedly claimed that the injury was inflicted during a scuffle, not realising the fatal outcome as the blow hit the heart.
According to the same sources, he claimed that he brought the knife for self-protection and did not intend to take human life, claiming that he knew of the injury but not the death of the 27-year-old.
