The arrest of a 24-year-old man, who was smuggling contraband tobacco products in a two-wheeled vehicle, in which he had placed a delivery box to cover his illegal activity, was made by the National Police in Piraeus.
The arrest was made in the early hours of April 25, 2026 by officers of the Anti-Trafficking Team of the Patrols Sub-Directorate of the Directorate of Direct Action of Attica (D.A.A./G.A.D.A.), after utilizing relevant information.
In a subsequent investigation, both in his possession and in his home, a total of 2,064 contraband tobacco products, the motorcycle he used for trafficking, and the sum of 80 euros were found and seized.
The arrested man was taken to the competent prosecutor, while the preliminary investigation was carried out by the Department of Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes of Kamini – Neo Faliro.
