Iraq reopened its airspace this afternoon, the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority announced, following Iran’s announcement that it is halting its military operation against Israel.

The Civil Aviation Service is reopening “Iraqi airspace for flights to and from all airports” in the country and will continue to “monitor and assess the regional situation,” the statement stressed.

Last night the Iraqi agency announced a 72-hour closure of its airspace following Iranian missile attacks on Israel, the first since the ceasefire began on April 8.
