The arrest of a 25-year-old man, who is accused of possession and trafficking of drugs in the wider area of Attica, was made by police officers of the Sub-Directorate for Narcotics of the Directorate for Combating Organized Crime.
The arrest took place on Saturday afternoon, June 6, after the use of information and a month-long police investigation, during which, according to the ELAS, the involvement of the 25-year-old in drug trafficking in Attica was established.
In a search of a residence, police officers located quantities of cocaine, which the defendant allegedly possessed for the purpose of further trafficking. Specifically, a package containing 1,180 grams of cocaine was found, as well as three homemade nylon packets containing an additional 106 grams of the same substance.
Significant Spam 1.286 grams of cocaine, 170 euros, a mobile phone, two precision electronic scales, a motorcycle and numerous nylon packages.
According to the police, the 25-year-old has been previously concerned by the authorities for other offences, while a warrant for his arrest by the investigating authorities for robbery and attempted extortion was pending.
The arrested man was taken to the competent prosecuting authority.
