Alexandros Tsouvelas was a guest on the show “Enopios Enopio” and spoke about his personal life, his long-term relationship, his presence in social networks, and the years he spent growing up in Peristeri.

The well-known stand-up comedian referred to his partner, the sculptor Evangelia Karidis, with whom he has been together for 13 years. Although they are not married, he believes that the essence of a relationship is not determined by formalities, but by the agreement and the common path of the two people.

With his trademark humour, he commented that when his partner’s mother calls him about household matters, it amounts to an informal marriage. At the same time, he expressed the view that in relationships the choice is primarily made by the woman, and joked that perhaps the fact that they have not married has contributed to their long-term cohabitation.

The conversation extended to social media, with the comedian revealing that his partner is more affected by him when she reads negative comments against him. He said she often becomes outraged at the attacks he receives, while he tries to explain to her that the critics are not directed at his face, but at a public image they have formed of him.

Tsouvelas admitted, however, that he does not always remain indifferent to the negativity of the internet and that he often responds or confronts users who comment critically on him, stressing that, despite his public exposure, he remains a human being with feelings and reactions.

At another point in the interview, he spoke about his childhood in Peristeri, noting that his father initially worked as a builder before following the path of the priesthood. As he explained, humour was always a strong element in the family, mainly thanks to his grandfather, who used to spread laughter with his jokes.

He concluded by noting that his family was happy and accepting of his career path, although the displays of emotion were never particularly strong. He said his folks are not used to lots of hugs or big words, which he attributes in part to the mindset and values they were raised with.
