The funeral service for Nikos Tagaras, MP for Korithia and Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy, who passed away last Friday at the age of 70, is currently being held at the Apostle Pavlos Cathedral in Corinth, in the presence of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The funeral service was presided over by the Metropolitan of Corinth, Pavlos, and attended by, among others, the President of the Parliament, Nikitas Kaklamanis, the Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, the Minister of Citizen Protection, Michalis Chrysochoidis, Niki Kerameos, Minister of Labour, Christos Dimas, Minister of Infrastructure, Dora Bakoyannis, MP and former Minister, Dora Bakoyannis, deputy ministers of the government and MPs of the New Democracy, former Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, PASOK MP Michalis Katrinis, Mr.
Outside the holy temple, army vehicles and a military band are lined up and paying tribute.
The body of Nikos Tagaras arrived at the holy temple at around 10:00 am, accompanied by his family members, while the burial will take place in the deceased’s hometown of Chiliomodi, Corinthia.
